The performance deals with symptoms that black bodies encounter in Brazil and around the world, their dissolution through resistance and the search for a “possible body”

Die Performance befasst sich mit Symptomen, die Schwarze Körper in Brasilien und auf der ganzen Welt (be)treffen und fragt nach deren Auflösung durch Widerstand. Ein Abend über die Suche nach einem “möglichen Körper”.
“Die Knoten des Körpers in Spucke auflösen” basiert auf Bewegungsmaterial und den choreografischen Arbeiten “Movimento I, parado é suspeito” und “Movimento II, Kodex_Konflikt” von Mario Lopes.

MARIO LOPES research focuses on “conflicts of social norms and foreign bodies” addressing mobility, encounters, crossings, and compositions, in their friction with social norms and their repercussions on the body and movement. He is in a constant search to recognize, despite distances and differences, another way of creating as a convergence of ideas that contributes to displacing his own actions. Stating that although this coming and going does not always imply the cognitive openness necessary to the apprehension of other worlds, the power of this act is to position oneself within the reach of senses: to change the body of place is to expose oneself to sensations not yet experienced. The contact with diverse realities, along with the occupation of distinct architectural spaces and the relationship with those who live here/there, constitute an for the acquisition of knowledge, for the estrangement of oneself and for artistic creation from renewed points of view.
