Das LANDMVRKS-Abenteuer begann erstmals im Jahr 2014, ursprünglich unter dem Namen „Coldsight“ für die ersten Jahre. Florent Salfati und Nicolas Soriano gründeten das Projekt mit Einsatz und Entschlossenheit und begaben sich auf die Suche nach motivierten und erfahrenen Musikern. Diese Motivation sollte der Schlüssel sein, um die Band in Richtung eines völlig einzigartigen Universums zu führen.
Zunächst spielte Florent Salfati Gitarre – damals war er Sänger bei Hate In Front. Die Band hatte Schwierigkeiten, einen Sänger zu finden, der zum Universum der Band passte. Die Besetzung war fast vollständig, nachdem Rudy Purkart (Bass) und Thomas Lebreton (Gitarre) zur Band stießen. Im Jahr 2014, nachdem sie verschiedene Sänger ohne Erfolg getestet hatten, entschied die Band, dass Florent der Frontmann werden sollte. Zur gleichen Zeit baten sie ihren Freund Nicolas Exposito (ehemals Where Eagles Dare, Straighten Things Out), die Position des frei gewordenen Gitarristen zu übernehmen.
Die endgültige Besetzung war somit komplett, und zu diesem Zeitpunkt änderte die Band ihren Namen von Coldsight zu LANDMVRKS.

Zwei Jahre lang schrieb die Band Songs, nahm diese auf und begann, lokale Auftritte zu spielen, wobei sie mit Bands wie First Blood, More Than Life und nach und nach in der französischen Metalcore-Szene Bekanntheit erlangte. In dieser Zeit veröffentlichten sie einige Singles und Videos, um ihre Fanbasis aufzubauen. Im Mai 2016 veröffentlichten LANDMVRKS ihr erstes Album „HOLLOW“, das vollständig von Florent Salfati und Nicolas Exposito produziert wurde. Sie entschieden sich, dieses Album unabhängig zu veröffentlichen, und tourten durch Europa, um dieses Werk zu präsentieren. Sie begeisterten ihr Publikum mit einem modernen Metalcore-Stil, der Hardcore-Riffs und eingängige Refrains vereinte. Dieses Album half ihnen, auf großen Festivals wie dem Hellfest 2016 oder dem Longlive Rockfest aufzutreten, und sie konnten ihren Ruf weiter festigen. 2018 unterschrieb die Band einen Vertrag bei Arising Empire Records für ihr zweites Album.
Das zweite Album zeigt einen reiferen Ansatz, und die Band liefert ein noch reichhaltigeres Ergebnis, mit mehr Definition und deutlich beeinflusst von Hardcore und Punk-Rock der 90er Jahre. Die Band kommentiert: „Wir sind sehr zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis, dieses Album ist das Ergebnis von fast drei Jahren intensiver Arbeit, und wir glauben, dass wir unsere Musik dahin gebracht haben, wo wir sie haben wollen.“

„Fantasy“ und „Scars“ sind die ersten beiden Singles aus diesem zweiten Werk und zeigen gut, wie es der Band gelungen ist, ihren Namen aufzubauen und ihren eigenen Stil zu behaupten.

The LANDMVRKS adventure first started in 2014, originally under the name ‘Coldsight’ for the first few years. Florent Salfati and Nicolas Soriano founded the project with effort and determination, and started looking for motivated and experienced musicians. This motivation would be the key to then drive the band towards creating a completely unique universe. At first Florent Salfati played the guitar – back then he was the singer for Hate In Front. The band struggled to find a singer that would fit the band’s universe. The lineup was almost complete after Rudy Purkart (bass) and Thomas Lebreton (Guitar) joined the band. In 2014, after testing various singers without success, the band decided that Florent should become the frontman. At the time, they also asked their mate Nicolas Exposito (ex Where Eagles Dare, Straighten Things Out) to take the position for the vacant guitarist.
The final lineup was there, and that is when the band’s name changed from Coldsight to LANDMVRKS.

For two years, the band composed songs, recorded and started playing local shows by sharing the bill with bands such as First Blood, More Than Life and little by little, LANDMVRKS started making a name for themselves in the French metalcore scene. During this time, the band releases a few singles and videos to help build up their fan base. In May 2016, LANDMVRKS released their first album HOLLOW entirely produced by Florent Salfati and Nicolas Exposito. They decided to release this album independently, and went touring on the roads of Europe to showcase this opus. They seduced their public with a modern metalcore style with hardcore riffs and catchy choruses. This album helped them play big festivals such as Hellfest in 2016 or Longlive Rockfest, and they managed to strengthen their reputation. In 2018 the band signed a contract with Arising Empire records for their second opus.
The second album has a more mature approach and the band delivers a richer result, with more definition and definitely take their influences in hardcore and 90s punk-rock. The band comments: ‘we are very happy with the result, this album is the fruit of almost 3 years of intense work and we think we managed to get our music where we wanted to take it.’

Fantasy and Scars are the first two singles taken out of this second opus and demonstrate well how the band has managed to build their name and assert its own style.
